Tarot
I have been using Tarot cards as a tool to assist me in tapping into my intuitive self for years. I would like to share with you the cards as I see them. I have also included information I have compiled over the years while I develop my own personal tarot journal. There is no right or wrong way to interpret the cards as everyone has different perceptions and experiences. I recommend that as you read the information that you do take the time to review the various books and resources included on your own to create your own tarot journal. Check back often, as I will update the cards and information.
The Fool

Initial Impression
When I look at the Fool I see a man starting a journey. He has wrapped up his treasures in a small sack on a stick and with his trusty companion he is on his way. Free and unencumbered he waltzes through life full of happy and light thoughts of the world. Of course he does not look where he is going the picture shows his companion warning him about the edge of the cliff he is about to walk off. The Fool is carefree and trusting of his higher power and so he always turns his face too him trusting that power to ensure his safety. This does not always work out well and it is often a sign of immaturity or a lack of concern for one's health and welfare. This card to me does two things, it tells me that I am about to start on a great adventure but it also tells me that I need to be cautious and keep my wits about me as I may fall off a cliff if I am not careful. If the card appeared reversed in a reading it would indicate that I was not following my instincts or not taking a chance due to my own fear or depending too much on plans or the practical advice of others.
Looking at the symbols found within the image we initially see three distinct images, the first being the dog that represents the forces of nature and the instinctual part of man. Next, we see the white rose reported to represent passion and purity. The bag allows him to carry his experiences with him though far enough from him that they do not hamper his decisions. Finally, his wand or magic staff as a symbol of power for him to lean on during his travels, protect him from danger and a tool to hold his bag of experiences.
Card Definition
The following is a compilation of information from four different books (listed at the end) that I have and refer to regularly when working with the cards. As mentioned above please do not consider this the be all and end all of this or any of the cards meaning. Take the time and work with the card and various materials to gather your own interpretations and understanding of the cards.
Numerical Meaning
Zero indicates the Godforce and it is an ancient symbol for the number 22.
The master builder, large endeavors, powerful force, a leader which points to manifestation, and could be seen as the spirit of God in man. 22 is broken down into the number 4 (2+2= 4) that symbolizes foundations, patience, builder, order, service, struggle against limits, and steady growth. 22 is a master number indicating a higher universal application of the number 4 and aspirations that may be loftier than, or superior to, one's current level of
understanding or ability.
Planetary Meaning
Uranus: The characteristics of each of the outer planets are social rather personal, rebellious spirit, desire for freedom, and need to effect change, as they grow older.
Pluto - The key word describing Pluto is revolution, and its movement to new sign will mean significant societal changes. Inner powers and resources. Letting go of what is no longer needed or working anymore. Transformation of consciousness. Integration. Rebirth into a new form or better way of life.
Jupiter (Masculine) - New undertakings, favor, luck, improvement, opportunity, enlargement, long-term and future plans, recognition, material benefits, generosity, feelings of (or beliefs about) success, accomplishment and abundance.
Key Concepts
Experiences: Experiencing life in the here and now - from moment to moment, carefree without following the rules of society or encumbered by their weaknesses. Pretensions are stripped away and those willing to take the chance the leap can bring joy, adventure, and finally knowledge, peace and liberation. With a sense of optimism, the Fool acts on impulse without thought or plan reveling in spontaneity and the unplanned.
Beginings: Leaping off into some new phase of life, especially when taken from a place of deep emotion than from careful planning.
Frivolity: The choice you are making may appear foolish or not well thought out to others. However, you trust in the universe and have no sense of fear or worry. With a childlike enthusiasm or innocence and lacking inhibitions, the Fool is footloose and fancy-free. A release of wildness and repression the trickster prods us from complacency with jokes and disguises.
